And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God!"
I Corinthians 2:1-5 THIS is our heart....it is not about us or our words...but about the testimony of Jesus being demonstrated through power to those that are desperately needing Him. We have been going into the neighborhoods of North Minneapolis for the last two years praying. Walking the streets asking the Lord to lead and direct us to the homes and people he wants to encounter. It has been an amazing time following his heart to those that have desperately needed to know that their cries to God have been heard. We have been able to offer love and resources to a woman reporting a death threat on her life at a precinct we happened to be at. We were invited into a home of a woman who had been crying to God just moments before we knocked on the door...desperate and hopeless. We've been able to bring groceries when we found there was a need, and offer resources to a woman needing to quickly get to a safe shelter. So if you have a heart to jump into these deep waters and be a vessel for the power of God to be demonstrated we would love to have you join us on our Prayer Walks and Diaper Giveaways. Check out our upcoming events BELOW! outreach eventsOur diaper giveaway has been a gateway for us to encounter families with a physical need and also show them the love of Jesus. The world is desperate for hope...and we know the one the gives everlasting hope, and his name is Jesus. If you have a heart to serve and show the love of Jesus to families we would love for you to come join us! We need an army of volunteers to make this happen! We recently felt lead by the lord to start doing these giveaways monthly which means we need a haul of materials to giveaway as well as volunteer power to make it happen. We are looking for men and women to volunteer as there is a large male presence coming to gather materials for their families as well.
We set up a tent and three tables filled with diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, women's essentials, and materials about The Well. As families move through the line we are able to fill a bag full of items, tell them about The Well and ask if we can pray for them. We are hoping with the monthly consistency that we can begin to build relationships with those that come. Below are the dates through the end of the year that we will be doing these giveaways.
